Genesis pen blanks are made of a cellular composite material similar to Inlace Acrylester. Thanks to the organic mesh used to structure the blank, however, they offer improved workability. The cellular mesh also creates an eye-catching ''honeycomb'' structure running the short way through the blank. Once the pen is finished, the pattern will change dramatically as you rotate the pen 90Adeg, emulating the change between flatsawn and quartersawn in a wooden blank. This pattern is called Mutagenic, a blend of black and brilliant green.
Mutagenic Genesis Pen Blank is just amazing! It is much worth than what you pay at Rockler.
